To celebrate the bicentenary of the first publication of Byron’s “Don Juan” on 15 July 1819, I’ll be releasing an annotated and narrated version of Cantos I + II on 27 June, 2019.
The Annotated text comprises some 120 pages of Byron’s poetry, with notes, that you can view in any PDF reader. The narration comprises about 3:20 hours of audio that will play in any audio player, including your web-browser.
The notes comprise tidbits of Byronic biography; background to some of his jokes and jibes, where the targets are no longer obvious; occasional comments on the poetry, and; details of the poisonous politics of the second decade of the nineteenth century. The illustrations are no racier than the poetry; but no more innocent than they need to be.
Please come back here on 27 June to download your copy of the Annotated and Narrated Cantos.
Very much looking forward to it !
Thank you Gregory

Peter is the best reader of Byron one could ever hope for.
